The ERASMUS + project DigitALAD (Digital Adult Educators: Preparing Adult Educators for a Digital World) (2019-1-LV01-KA204-060398), led by the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art of the University of Latvia has produced a handbook for educators working with adults to develop their digital competence.

This handbook summarizes information on 22 digital competences and offers lesson plans to help to develop them. In total, the handbook consists of 5 chapters that provide information on what digital competences are, what skills need to be acquired to operate in a digital environment, what digital pedagogical competencies are needed to help adults learn digital skills and how to use digital tools to assess acquired skills. and to support learners in acquiring these skills. The handbook is currently available in English (handbook_english), but it is translated into the languages ​​of all project partner countries - Latvian, Spanish, Greek, French, and will be freely available to all interested parties.

Various resources have also been developed for use by adult educators. They are currently available in English, but are also translated into other languages ​​of the project countries (materials)

The University of Latvia is represented in the project by: prof. Linda Daniela and research assistant Alise Oļesika.

 The target group of the project is educators working with adults and adult learners.

Project implementation period: 01.11.2019. - 31.10.2021.
