University of Latvia (UL) and Association for Teacher Education in Europe (ATEE) organised ATEE Spring Conference 2019 will take place at University of Latvia, Riga, Latvia on June 7 – 8, 2019 and this years conference theme is “Innovations, technologies and research in education”.

We are proud to present our second keynote speaker who is a senior lecturer at Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory in Didactics, Education and Training of Montpellier Universities and a longtime expert at national and international levels in higher education and professional training - Philippe Gabriel. In the same time he cooperates with Aix-Marseille University and Avignon University in the development of teacher training programs and ensures part of their implementation.

P. Gabriel in his presentation “Educators and learners’ well-being in the contemporary digital world” will share the key elements of the relationship between intellectual, social and digital activity, thus explaining how youths’ well-being correlates with their digital activity. He will also discuss the pedagogical strategies and proposals in the light of the OECD report on students’ well-being in PISA 2015.
