From 1st December 2020, the researchers from the University of Latvia, Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Art, Pedagogical Research Institute have started to implement Erasmus+ project No 2020-1-FI01-KA203-066572 “Designing and supporting inclusive practices in Higher Education”.

The objectives of this project are:

1. To support higher education providers to design, implement, and monitor effective inclusive policies and practices.
2. To build the competences of learning designers and academics to design inclusive learning programs.
3. To improve the accessibility of high quality inclusive higher education opportunities for all.

The expected results of the project are:

  • Improved capacity of universities to modernize their teaching and learning, their curricula, and practices.
  • Improved competencies for faculty, learning designers, and support staff to empower them to design, implement, and monitor inclusive policies in university curricula.
  • Increased synergies among all HE key stakeholders in inclusive practices.
  • Improved quality and relevance of teaching and learning in Higher Education.
  • A greater understanding of the design and implementation processes for inclusive learning programs.
  • Inclusive learning, teaching and research environments.
  • Increased access, participation and completion rates of disadvantaged groups.

Project leading partner is ÅBO Akademi (Finland). Other partners participating in the project are from Belgium (European Universities Continuing Education Network), Cyprus (Centre for Advancement of Research and Development in Educational Technology Ltd. Cardet un Innovade Li Ltd), Romania (Universitatea Din Pitesti) and Latvia (University of Latvia).

In Univeristy of Latvia the project is coordinated by prof. Linda Daniela with involvement of project expert Dina Zveja.

The total amount for the project is 252.660.00 EUR
