Year 2019

Mundheim Family Art Gallery

Already in 2022, the House of Scriptures will be opened in the Academic Center of the University of Latvia in Torņakalns. Current and future specialists of humanities and social sciences, including the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art (FEPA) of the University of Latvia (UL) students and lecturers, will create a home in new and modern premises.

In order to develop and strengthen the talents of art students, it is planned to establish an Art Gallery of the Mundheim family at the faculty - a kind of art studio. FEPA UL students will have the opportunity to learn and improve their practical skills in painting in a modern, well-equipped learning environment. Young artists and researchers in the social sciences will expand and develop the flight of creativity, skills and thought, starting their professional careers already during their studies at the University of Latvia.

The patrons - Guna and Roberts Mundheim - and their contribution to the development of the UL study environment, infrastructure, as well as to the support of new talents serve as a source of inspiration for the UL family, especially among art students, and are a strong starting point in their future careers.
